Im 15 years of age and i am certain of a tatoo i want :)


And i am going to be gettin one done :)


But first of all i need to know


What age do i legaly have to be to have a tatoo?


Ive heard you ahve to be 18 but i have mates that are 16 and have em.... Can i go to a tatoo'ist and gett a tatto IF my parent is there so i have my parents consent? Anyone know?

If you have consent by your parents yes ya can. anywhere safe and legal it will be 18. you can get them done by freelance artists but they wont be as good as professionals unless ur lucky

to legally get a tattoo you must be 18 because that's the age of independence, where you can make your own choices.


if your parents have signed the papers so that you can get it, or if they're with you then you can get it.

Reply:If your parent is there yes you can but some tattoo parlors wont do it because your so young .... youll have to find someone willing to do it on someone your age

Reply:I was certain i wanted one at 15 to. i waited until i was 16. and had my parents consent but it didnt really matter cause me and my mom got the same ones done together.

Reply:It depends on what state you live in. Some states allow tattooing of 16+ year olds with their parents there. However, I think that everyone should wait until they are 18. It never killed anyone to wait and it's smarter to wait and know for sure what you want on your body forever.
