I have heard that you get more sun on overcast days...


Is that true or just one of those old wives tales..?

na its not true, but what it means is that you can get sunbuirnt on overcast days but it is cool so you do not realise you are getting burnt. but you do not get more sun.

Reply:no of course you wont get more sun, but you can get sunburnt cos the uv rays can still get through the clouds. you can get more sunburnt than you would on a sunny day cos chances are you wont be wearing any sun protection.

Reply:I actually don't know if you have more sun on overcast days, but I do know that you can get sun. Actually, there is a slight chance that you can get skin cancer on an overcast day when you decided not to wear sunscreen. So kepp lathering up! :-D
