Reply:First of all for soft, smooth. supple lips (exfoliate) : apply quite a lot of Vaseline on your lips then take a clean toothbrush and rub your lips lightly with the Vaseline to get rid of dead skin. Your lips will grow really red while brushing because of blood circulation so don't worry about that. (the best time to exfoliate is at night before sleeping then go to bed without washing your lips after exfoliating, you'll find how AMAZINGLY smooth and soft your lips are in the morning.)
Then use a lip-balm or a chap stick that is pink in color. I use labello, the strawberry, it's great and gives a red sheer to my lips. You can try the pink pearl, it's amazing. Keep a good brand of pink lip gloss in handy, I wouldn't recommend to use it everytime but sometimes.
You can apply some lemon juice on your lips to make it lighter and also you can use a chapstick or a lip balm that contains cocoa butter.
If you're gonna be out in the sun, apply a moisturizing lip balm with sun-block. Just because lips don't tan doesn't mean the sun's rays don't harm them.
Always apply a generous coat of Vaseline or lip balm before going to bed.

Industrial piercing?
So I'm getting an industrial piercing next week, and I spoke to my piercer a few days ago and he said that he prefers to pierce it with two separate pieces of jewellery to begin with so it heals nicer. Anyone else done it this way? Does it make a difference?

Hi, I havn't had it done as you've mentioned, (Although I have got an industrial myself) Around the time I was researching for my own industrial, I was reading up a lot of stories on www.bmezine.com (great resource, i highly recommend it) and yes, I've heard of the method that your talking about. I cant speak from personal exp but the stories I read about it said it was easier to heal and less trauma to the ear or something...i can imagine that two seperate pieces of jewellery would be easier to heal than a great big bar...im still healing my own industrial, which i got in january, i've read stories on the other method where it has taken a matter of weeks to heal though. But, on the down side, it's not quite as groovy looking! Hope that helped somewhat.

It makes a huge difference.
Tell your piercer he needs to use the industrial bar.

then do I also have to use a toner of the same brand (Dove) or I can use toner of any other brand? I'm living in Saudi Arabia so Dove toner isn't really available here. Which brand of toner do you suggest? My skin is not not oily nor is it dry but normal. I dunno whether it's sensitive though I have used Dove and Johnson's face wash/cleanser before and it wasn't bad and didn't have any bad effect on my face. I don't have that much of acne but 2 or 3 pimples do appear sometimes. I'm looking for something good that's available in KSA. I know I'm asking too many questions, but I'd really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

This is cheap and you will find it anywhere. My daughter is 14 and she uses the white part of the egg yoke on her face. This takes all the oils off your face and makes your face feeling baby soft.
Put the egg yoke every day for at least 20 minutes. The egg yoke will harden and pull out any oils you may have and make your face cleaner and softer.
If you prefer a soap for your face then I would try either a coca butter soap face bar or an Equate brand name soap bar, face wash. But I don't know if you will be able to find this brand name in your county.

That is why I had them so bad when I was younger. In school I would always sit with my hands on my face holding my head up or something. There are also chap sticks for men, that don't make your lips look at all glossy. Honestly though, it's more attractive to have shiny lips that dry lips, no matter if you are man or woman!

ok...so i switched products, to this product a friend recomended...

If you want to use a scrub for exfoliating, use a homemade one since any chemicals used in products can harm your skin. So it's better you stop using that product since you also have acne.
You can mix honey, lemon juice and sugar for scrubbing, do not scrub too badly but gently, the sugar will do all the work =)
Mix 2 heaped tsp fine oatmeal, 1 tsp. baking soda and add water to make a fine paste. Apply to skin and rub gently. Rinse and gently pat dry.
The beauty recipes I listed above are for exfoliating your skin which shouldn't be done daily but once in a week or you will damage your skin even more because dead skin cell doesn't form everyday.
Baking Soda Mask to Fight Acne
This is so easy to make and can work wonders if your skin likes it. (Remember, not every cause of acne is the same, so you need to try different remedies and masks until you find the ones that work for you.)
All you need are two ingredients. Baking Soda (NOT baking powder) and water.
Mix a little together in your hands after washing your face with a mild cleanser and apply gently to your skin. Once you've coated your face with the baking soda and water mix, let it sit while you do other things around the house, or relax and read a book.
Rinse the baking soda film off your face and feel how soft and clear it feels. If your skin enjoys this recipe, and your acne improves, then you may try it several times a week to help clear your acne.
Sea Salt or Table Salt Mask
Swim in the ocean (or buy sea salt and make a mask). Or just gently wash with salt %26amp; water mixed.
Egg Yolk Mask
Egg Yolks contain Vitamin A which is good for scarring. To attempt this method of acne treatment, whip up an egg yolk, apply it to your skin for 20 minutes. Wash off. There is some discussion as to whether or not you can catch salmonella from putting egg yolk on your skin. Do a little research before trying this one.
Toothpaste Remedy
If you have one large pimple you'd like to shrink overnight, you can apply a drop of toothpaste (not gel) to your pimple before going to bed. This has been shown to work through anecdotal experience.
First a few warnings.

If you want to use a scrub for exfoliating, use a homemade one since any chemicals used in products can harm your skin. So it's better you stop using that product since you also have acne.
You can mix honey, lemon juice and sugar for scrubbing, do not scrub too badly but gently, the sugar will do all the work =)
Mix 2 heaped tsp fine oatmeal, 1 tsp. baking soda and add water to make a fine paste. Apply to skin and rub gently. Rinse and gently pat dry.
The beauty recipes I listed above are for exfoliating your skin which shouldn't be done daily but once in a week or you will damage your skin even more because dead skin cell doesn't form everyday.
Baking Soda Mask to Fight Acne

what you do is you boil up water , put the tea bag in , exactly like your making tea , but the tea bag in the boiled water for 3-5 mins then take it out and let it cool (make sure to get out all of the water too!) then leave it on the affected area for 10-15mins.

I posted this before but need more answers sooooo...
I started stretching my ear, i have had an ear piercing for eight years, and the hole is suprisingly stretchy. I first started off with a 1,6mm and left that in for a period of time, my next step was a 2mm, but i put a q tip in my ear, and later found out it was a 2.4mm- i know skipping is bad BUT heres the thing, my ear didnt bleed, it didnt burn, it didnt take any effort to put the 2,4mm in, it just slid in and hasnt been any problem whatsoever, sooo...should i just leave it in? (until i can buy a 2.4mm plug?) also, what are my next steps, in mm as well as gauge please...does it go 3mm then 3.2 then 3.4 or what?? can i get the whole process upto a 5mm. Because im pretty bad at the whole sizing thing. Anyone who can help, well, id appreciate it. Thanks!

When I get whiteheads i soak the area in warm water then squeeze it a bit til the pus comes out (gross ay) and then wipe it with a toner.

Do you have eyedrops for redness? If you do, squeeze a few drops of that into a cotton tip, then put the cotton tip in the back of the fridge (or where the cool air coems out) for about 2 minutes. This isnot to freeze it, but to cool it down. Then take it out and hold right onto any red pimples. Surface piercings, especially hip surface piercings, reject pretty much everytime you get them pierced.
There's just so much movement in that area and you'd be lucky to keep your piercing in for 2 weeks without it rejecting.
If it rejects, you could be left with some nasty scars.
Dermal anchors are better than just straight barbells but they still reject a lot.
I recommend getting two microdermals put in each side.
It looks the same as a hip piercing but the jewelry is different and the rejection rate is only 2% so you're pretty much guaranteed to be able to keep the piercing in as long as you want.
It costs more than a normal surface piercing but it's definitely worth it.
Each microdermal costs around $90-$100 here but I dont know how much that would be in England.
But seriously, go with the microdermals.
You'll be much more glad in the long run.

How long does it take for dry skin to go away?
I left my facewash on too long about 3 nights ago and it dryed out my skin COMPLETLY! Yesterday I mananged to peal off a lot of my first layer of skin which is the dry skin. After pealing off the dry skin my face feels less tight and better but there are some places where I haven't pealed off the skin like my eyelids because its rly hard so above my eyes and my eyelids are severly wrinkled because of the layer of ead skin.
I was just wondering if I needed to peal it off in order to be cured of this dry skin or if I could just not peal it off and eventually it will peal off itself and my face will be back to normal and unwrinkly(it was never wrinkly before). And if so how long will it take to peal off by itself.

Reply:You have some severe dryness but it will only take a few days if you keep putting moisturizer on it. Especially at night, put a nighttime moisturizer on if you can. They work great! The best time to apply moisturizer is when your skin is still wet from taking a shower. It helps retain the moisture. Good luck!

*after application of a gentle moisturiser at night, use walnut/apricot face scrub in d morning and gently .. i repeat...Gently.. scrub ur face and wash wid warm water.
AVOID peeling of your skin on your own. ther could b layers that havent healed completed . you'd end up having a patchy complexion.
u ll c d difference in just 2 days.

I am stupid and picked a lot on a pimple right under my eye! It was so tiny but now I left a huge scab that'll probably leave a scar. Plus, that skin underneath your eye is so sensitive, it almost look like a black eye 'cause it's all swollen. Anyways! I've also heard of a product called Rejuveness but I heard that it's very expenisve. Is there a certain regime that I have to follow in order for those products to work? What about old scars? I have so many from just being so active as a kid (old bicycle wounds and sports related scars mainly). I also have acne scars. I'd love to have a permenant procedure done like microdermabrasion or laser work but those are expensive. Thanks for any advice!

Yep, laser or dermal fillers are your best bet. Sorry, Mederma won't remove or prevent scarring- it's basically onion extract. Scars are complex reactions to deep damage- Vit E is ok, but better as an internal supplement- if your body is healthy on the inside it has a better chance of healing itself. Try Silicia gel(inside %26amp; topically), Vit A cream, Bio Oil, and take Vit C powder %26amp; eat lots of garlic! Also, a BHA/AHA exfoliant can stimulate collagen production %26amp; reduce scarring. Pain depends on where you have it, hurts less on a fatty area where there's virtually no bone near the surface such as the stomach. Hurts more on thin skinned and boney areas such as the base of the spine or across the rib cage.

I carry mineral foundation with me in a dispenser brush (also found at www.enidmg.com) and apply as needed to stop the shine.
The mineral foundation is very sheer and you can hardly tell it's there but it helps control oil and shine for hours!

Remember to do it every night and every morning:
1. Wash ur face with a face scrub(don't rub it to hard onto your cheecks, but rub a little harder on your nose and forehead)
2. But some toner(close te the little holes on you face) on tissue or somethin and then put it on your nose and forehed
3. Put on face cream onto your cheecks.(just your cheecks!Otherwise your forehead and nose are gonne get oily and thats not a good thing!!!)
4. Get urself garnier's pimple and spot remover.(it's a little thinhy then u just sqeez it and it comes out)

3. Put on face cream onto your cheecks.(just your cheecks!Otherwise your forehead and nose are gonne get oily and thats not a good thing!!!)
4. Get urself garnier's pimple and spot remover.(it's a little thinhy then u just sqeez it and it comes out)

It's very common, just as common as having one foot slightly bigger than the other.

Uneven body parts has to do with symmetry. Pretty much every animal has one side of their body that's bigger than the other side. It's normal --so you have nothing to worry about.

Even when we sleep sometimes, we are on side, sometimes straight etc.. so this affects their physical growth. Just like a kid who jumps n plays basketball is bound to have more height than a sedentary kid. Exercise or force faced by the part makes the blood flow better and also stretches the muscles n hence it results in growth n no two things can face equal conditions n can neither have equal growth rate.

Everyone looks so sweaty and gross in the summertime. I'm fed up with looking sweaty. How can I look more like a pagent winner than someone who just ran a marathon?

i use any sunless tan but i dont like sprays coz i dont get an even color all over... after getting tanned by any brand, i use NARS body oil in tan and that gives me a gorgeous tan ;p

See out of nowhere my face broke out. I dont know what to do. My mom said to wash my face and drink lots of water. Sumbody else said to put ice on them. BUT ITS NOT WORKIN!!!! i need sum fast solutions, ways or sites where i can find how to get rid of them

All I do is wash my face with an acne soap you can by at any store, ( Target, Walmart, Walgreens)
Also, you may wanna use a Clarifying liquid that contains Benzoil Peroxide to clean all the dirt out of those little rascals (:
Drinking water really does help, because it helps to clean out the nasty toxins in your body not to mention your skin =)

Reply:this might sound crazy but either boil water in a pot and hold your head above it but not too much to where you get burned and let the steam open your pores , or you can get a wash cloth wet it in hot or warm water and hold it against your face if you can stand it or let it cool down a little bit. Next now that your pores are open wash your face with Neutrogena Oil-Free Cream Cleanser then i use Duac a gel that works really good and won't burn your skin ,but heals acne.This is prescibed by my doctor you cant buy it in stores. Or try using a walmart acne product called equate it comes in a purple box . When using dap it on and let it dry on your face it sholud harden . leave on overnight and wash off in the morning.
Reply:Don't worry! There are solutions! I myself have had many medium-sever breakouts, and it takes a lot of patience for them to go away. First of all, try using a mild cleanser, something that will not irratate your face, but will help your acne go away. Personaly, I use neutrogena cleansing face wash twice a day; morning and night. second, try not to touch your face! There is soo much oil and dirt on the ends of your finger tips, that when you touch your face, all of that dirt gets into your pores, and forms what.....a pimple. 3rd, are you a junky-junk food eater? Because, there are so many oils and fats in junkfood, and somehow, it makes your face get clogged, and breakout. So make sure to cut back on the junkfood if you do eat it often! and lastly, don't pick at your face! When/if you try to pop a pimple, it may leave a scar when healing, thats why it is very inmoptant to again, leave your fingers off of your face! Also, ice truly does help, just ice your face for about 30-40 min. every night, along with all other 4 steps, and you truly will start to see results! But if for some reason your acne starts to get worse, go see your doctor for perscription medication! hope this helped! Good luck!
