How long does it take for dry skin to go away?

I left my facewash on too long about 3 nights ago and it dryed out my skin COMPLETLY! Yesterday I mananged to peal off a lot of my first layer of skin which is the dry skin. After pealing off the dry skin my face feels less tight and better but there are some places where I haven't pealed off the skin like my eyelids because its rly hard so above my eyes and my eyelids are severly wrinkled because of the layer of ead skin.

I was just wondering if I needed to peal it off in order to be cured of this dry skin or if I could just not peal it off and eventually it will peal off itself and my face will be back to normal and unwrinkly(it was never wrinkly before). And if so how long will it take to peal off by itself.

THANKS FOR AANY ANSWERS!

drink LOADS of water...lik 3 litres a day...get a really really good moisturiser and exfoliate....i wouldnt keep trying to peel of your skin tho that could really reck it and leave scars
Reply:You have some severe dryness but it will only take a few days if you keep putting moisturizer on it. Especially at night, put a nighttime moisturizer on if you can. They work great! The best time to apply moisturizer is when your skin is still wet from taking a shower. It helps retain the moisture. Good luck!
Reply:dry use a light skin scrub or gentile skin exfoliant cream

and just wash morning and night and also moisturize

and should be good in 2-3 days
Reply:Simple

*drink tonnes of water

*tonnes of sunscreen so that u dont dry it out further

*use a light moisturiser or face wash havin AHA in it .it slowly sloughs away d dead skin cells.

*Apply a mixture of cold curd and 1 tsp of honey on your face nd leave it on for 15-20 mins.

*after application of a gentle moisturiser at night, use walnut/apricot face scrub in d morning and gently .. i repeat...Gently.. scrub ur face and wash wid warm water.

AVOID peeling of your skin on your own. ther could b layers that havent healed completed . you'd end up having a patchy complexion.

u ll c d difference in just 2 days.

good luck
Reply:Oh, I've done that before, and it really scared me because I hated that wrinkley look lol But all you have to do is use a lotion- Cocoa Butter is good- and make sure you apply it at least 2-3 times a day. A nice moisturizer is good for it too, but I just said lotion in case you don't have it. Don't worry, you're skin will be back to normal in no time!
Reply:Try using a VERY soft facial brush to dry brush your skin. Lightly scrub using circular motions to remove the dead skin.

If you are prone to try skin, try switching to Cleanze by Mineral Girlz which is an all-natural facial cleanser that WON'T dry out your skin.

Another great alternative is the Oatmeal Milk %26amp; Honey sudz which is very gentle and re-hydrates skin.
