Okay Im only 21.. but i use this cream and its excellent, my eyes look more brighter and i have no crease lines, I believe in this product. i even said to my partner that id love to promote it lol... Im not sure on decreasing deep wrinkles, but id definitly suggest the product! I love garnier and believe its one of the finest skin care/hair product out there!

Well.....um if you have bangs its because of the grease from your hair. if sooo. wash your face ALOT!!!! and get scrub for it.and if you are at home put your bangs in a puff to get off of your head every once in a while. thats about it. i have the same problemm :[

Exfoliate! Exfoliate! Exfoliate!
Acne is sometimes caused by dead skin cells getting cought in the hair follicles and then becoming infected.
It is recommended to exfoliate 2 - 3 times a week. This will help clear away the dead skin cells and help with cellular regeneration. I recommend the Clean and Clear "steam" in shower facial. Its a new product and is a chemical and manual exfoliant in one.
Also, if you have bangs, the grease in your hair can cause you to break out in a paticular area. Keep your hair clean, pin your bangs back when you can, especially when sleeping.
You can use a medicated acne gel or lotion on problem areas. Anything with salyacidic acid (its probably not spelled like that but that's close) or benzoyl peroxide will help clear up the existing pimples and prevent new ones from forming.

Hi...I'm not sure what exactly causes them but i used to have LOADS of trouble with acne. I went to my Doctor and she said it's when a pore gets really clogged. Heads appear because the bacteria in the zit reaches the surface but sometimes it doesn't. Try not to squeeze it too much cause then they get extremely painful, and will just make it worse. Try using a cleanser with the special beads in it that help clear dead skin and all the dirt and gross junk that gets on your skin, about 3 times a week. It helped me...but I had bad acne so I ended up going on medication for it and now I'm almost completely pimple free! Yay!

take a shower every other day otherwise you just wash away the preventive phase of the dial soap.

if you have only a little bit of extra weight and you want your stomach and thighs firmer what would you do to make it go away faster...like i have this wierd fat thing right under my ribcage thats small and then a little roll of fat under that and it looks wierd..im not everly large just out of shape...so what would work fast

I would actually recomend buying a pilates tape. It works wonders for me. Unfortunatly I haven't been able to do pilates for a while because of so much homework I get assigned each night. but really you can lean your whole body doing pilates. I saw results the first time I did them.

~1minute----------take a 1min break
~1min 15sec-----take a 1min break

When you do exercise, running is good and also doing some sculpting exercise videos that target abs and thighs.
If you really make an effort then you should see results quickly.

I swim 6 days a week for 2 hours each, and I have this new moisurizer. How many times a day do you think would be bad for my skin(on my face)? Or is it possible for it to be bad for your skin?
I also have very dry skin and unless I put some lotion on, you can SEE the dry flakes from across the room.
Plus if you know a REALLY good brand could you recommend it?

my girl wants her belly button pierced shes 13 years old.... shes been asking for 3 and a half months I told her if she wanted it done her grades would have to come up. She made me this power point and everything on where she wanted to get it done and like who the guy was and him nams, town and like how long hes been piercing people..... its was kinda cool...

Reply:When I was 13, I wanted one too, I am now 14 and I have thought about it a lot, and I changed my mind, I guess it was one of those stages where you really badly want something and its kind of a spur of the moment.
I think she should show her interest in it for at least a year because at her age, I don't think it is really suitable and I know if I got one when I wanted it, I would seriously have regrets because now, I don't want one anymore.

# Cleaning Agents
Never use alcohol swabs, Betadine, hydrogen peroxide, methylated spirit, or tea tree oil to clean your piercing. These do kill bacteria but they also destroy your healing flesh. Dead flesh then becomes easily infected.
# Clothing
Tight clothing rubbing against your piercing is not recommended鈥攊t disrupts blood flow and can delay healing. It also increases the chance of your jewelry 鈥榩arking鈥?or folding to one side, especially with rings.
# Exercising
Take care on hot days and when exercising as sweat tends to collect in your navel. Wash or soak the navel afterwards.
# Lavender Oil
This essential oil lubricates the piercing and is reputed to reduce scar tissue and prevent tightening. It must be used in its dilute form, a drop applied to each side of the piercing with a cotton bud, the excess removed, and then the jewelry moved back and forth through the piercing. The correct dilution is 10 drops lavender oil in 15mls grapeseed or sweet almond oil.
# Pregnancy
You can continue to wear your navel piercing up till about the sixth month of pregnancy. Once the skin begins to stretch the jewelry should be removed or upsized. If necessary the piercing can be reopened at a later date.
# Smoking
1. Smoking slows healing by suppressing your immune system and blood circulation to the skin.
2. In a navel piercing it will add months to the healing time.
3. If you cannot stop smoking then you should reconsider having any piercings.
# Swimming
Swimming is not prohibited while your piercing is healing, but you should only swim for short periods in pools that are thoroughly chlorine- or ozone-treated. Do not let your skin become wrinkly and soft. If you swim in the ocean or waterways, do not swim after heavy rain. Storm water run-off often contains bacteria and parasites
HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO GET PIERCED?
At age 16, you are able to get most facial and body piercings without an adult to sign for you. If you鈥檙e 15 or younger, some piercings may be performed with a legal guardian鈥檚 consent. They must be able to prove that they are legally responsible for you. EVERYONE is required to complete a disclaimer form prior to any body piercing procedure. It is your responsibility to inform us of any medical conditions which may be affected by the procedure.
The bottom line is ethics. We here at Vogue Body Piercing believe in providing the safest possible piercing experience to our clients. One thing we have discovered is that younger people have a tendency to not take the advice and suggestions of their piercers seriously. Because of this we have established the following policy:
We will not under any circumstance perform piercings (other than earlobes) for anyone under 13. Our cutoff age for navel piercings is 15 - if pierced while the body is still growing and developing, navel piercings in particular are extremely prone to extended healing, migration, and possible rejection. We want to give you an amazing piercing, not a problem!
We will pierce earlobes on children under 13, but will not pierce infants or very young children, full stop. We don't have a set minimum age, but it's usually advised to wait until the child is at least 5 or 6 years old. They must be maure enough to understand the procedure about to take place and the responsibility the piercing will entail. If the child, parent, and body piercer are still comfortable at this point we will proceed.
We will not under any circumstances perform nipple or genital piercings, scalpelling, dermal punching, or surface piercings on anyone under 18 years of age, for legal and ethical reasons.
Valid picture ID is required. For the parent it must be a government issued ID card. Minors do not always have one of these, however. In those cases we can accept a student body card, bus pass, or possibly a class photo or school yearbook as long as there is a picture verifying their identity. In conjunction to this we will need age verification such as a birth certificate, some medical insurance cards, Centrelink documentation, or school paper work.
The adult signing for the minor must be a legal guardian with proof of relationship. If the IDs have differing last names we will need additional paperwork verifying guardianship. Medicare cards, custody papers and legal name change documents are some good examples of this.

Reply:When I was 13, I wanted one too, I am now 14 and I have thought about it a lot, and I changed my mind, I guess it was one of those stages where you really badly want something and its kind of a spur of the moment.
I think she should show her interest in it for at least a year because at her age, I don't think it is really suitable and I know if I got one when I wanted it, I would seriously have regrets because now, I don't want one anymore.
Also try to tell her that, she is still very young and even though she will most likely doubt it, you are not really old enough to make proper decisions and realize the consequences until your about 15-16 ish.

You're supposed to be the adult here. Your daughter will get over this in a day or two. It seems like the biggest deal in the world to her now, but in a week, she'll be completely over it. She's young.
If you do decide to let her have it, don't go to some store that you know nothing about (besides what your daughter, who, since she wants the piercing is biased, tells you). Have it done by a doctor at a hospital or other medical office. She might complain about having to wait for the appointment or whatever, but she'll appreciate the fact that she doesn't get Staff or Mercer.

# Bacterial Infections
Infections are perhaps the most common complication with body piercings. Symptoms include increased pain, increased redness and an increase in the amount and thickness of the discharge. The infected discharge is usually thick and yellow, green or grey and may have an unusual odour. Consult with your physician or piercer and do not remove the jewelry until you seek advice. Removing the jewelry can allow the piercing to close over the infection and create an even worse problem: a closed abscess beneath the skin.
# Cleaning Agents
Never use alcohol swabs, Betadine, hydrogen peroxide, methylated spirit, or tea tree oil to clean your piercing. These do kill bacteria but they also destroy your healing flesh. Dead flesh then becomes easily infected.
# Clothing
Tight clothing rubbing against your piercing is not recommended鈥攊t disrupts blood flow and can delay healing. It also increases the chance of your jewelry 鈥榩arking鈥?or folding to one side, especially with rings.
# Exercising
Take care on hot days and when exercising as sweat tends to collect in your navel. Wash or soak the navel afterwards.
# Lavender Oil
This essential oil lubricates the piercing and is reputed to reduce scar tissue and prevent tightening. It must be used in its dilute form, a drop applied to each side of the piercing with a cotton bud, the excess removed, and then the jewelry moved back and forth through the piercing. The correct dilution is 10 drops lavender oil in 15mls grapeseed or sweet almond oil.
# Pregnancy
You can continue to wear your navel piercing up till about the sixth month of pregnancy. Once the skin begins to stretch the jewelry should be removed or upsized. If necessary the piercing can be reopened at a later date.
# Smoking
1. Smoking slows healing by suppressing your immune system and blood circulation to the skin.
2. In a navel piercing it will add months to the healing time.
3. If you cannot stop smoking then you should reconsider having any piercings.
# Swimming
Swimming is not prohibited while your piercing is healing, but you should only swim for short periods in pools that are thoroughly chlorine- or ozone-treated. Do not let your skin become wrinkly and soft. If you swim in the ocean or waterways, do not swim after heavy rain. Storm water run-off often contains bacteria and parasites
HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO GET PIERCED?
At age 16, you are able to get most facial and body piercings without an adult to sign for you. If you鈥檙e 15 or younger, some piercings may be performed with a legal guardian鈥檚 consent. They must be able to prove that they are legally responsible for you. EVERYONE is required to complete a disclaimer form prior to any body piercing procedure. It is your responsibility to inform us of any medical conditions which may be affected by the procedure.
The bottom line is ethics. We here at Vogue Body Piercing believe in providing the safest possible piercing experience to our clients. One thing we have discovered is that younger people have a tendency to not take the advice and suggestions of their piercers seriously. Because of this we have established the following policy:
We will not under any circumstance perform piercings (other than earlobes) for anyone under 13. Our cutoff age for navel piercings is 15 - if pierced while the body is still growing and developing, navel piercings in particular are extremely prone to extended healing, migration, and possible rejection. We want to give you an amazing piercing, not a problem!
We will pierce earlobes on children under 13, but will not pierce infants or very young children, full stop. We don't have a set minimum age, but it's usually advised to wait until the child is at least 5 or 6 years old. They must be maure enough to understand the procedure about to take place and the responsibility the piercing will entail. If the child, parent, and body piercer are still comfortable at this point we will proceed.
We will not under any circumstances perform nipple or genital piercings, scalpelling, dermal punching, or surface piercings on anyone under 18 years of age, for legal and ethical reasons.
Valid picture ID is required. For the parent it must be a government issued ID card. Minors do not always have one of these, however. In those cases we can accept a student body card, bus pass, or possibly a class photo or school yearbook as long as there is a picture verifying their identity. In conjunction to this we will need age verification such as a birth certificate, some medical insurance cards, Centrelink documentation, or school paper work.
The adult signing for the minor must be a legal guardian with proof of relationship. If the IDs have differing last names we will need additional paperwork verifying guardianship. Medicare cards, custody papers and legal name change documents are some good examples of this.

you have to be 16 because your still growing A LOT at this point and it will most likely reject or grow out at this stage. when you are 16 you slow down growing and will be ready for one physically.
also you need to clean it everyday with something like H2Ocean but NEVER peroxide or rubbing alcohol which will dry it out and can cause infection and/or it will reject, which will leave a really and scar.
sea salt soaks a few times a day also work.
navel (belly button) piercings take about 1 year to heal and you cant swim for 2 months after getting one. (it will dry out in pool water because of chlorine and cause infection and maybe even rejection. and in ponds or lakes or the ocean you can get lots of bacteria in it, etc. and get infection/rejection.)
theres always chance of rejection if it is cleaned all the time as well, especially if you bump it.

but your daughter really cant get it done this young anyways, plus MANY 13-year-olds want them, then later decide they dont.

Has anyone used Tretinoin and/or finacea?
I've never had perfect skin, ever, but makeup has always made it a little more live-able, i mean it was never too bad, but in the past 3 months, it has gotten so horrible. My skin started breaking out alot and frequently, like all the time. Literally. And it looks so bad! :( Especially around like my mouth, nose, and forehead. Sooo doctor prescribed tretinoin cream and finacea for me. I've been alternating them ever since March 24th, so for example; sunday, tretinoin.. monday, finacea.. tuesday, tretinoin.. etc.. my skin cleared up pretty fast, then started getting worse, but I expected that since she told me I'd get worse, before better.. but it's June now.... and I am breaking out just as often as before.. and I stuck with my regimen.. soo I've been eating lots of vegetables and drinking plenty of water and such, but no luck..
Has anyone used these medications and had good results? If so.. how many months did it take to get it under control?

HomemadeTend skin as deodorant?
I have recently bought tend skin for those unsightly ingrown hairs and razor burn I have been "blessed" with. It works great. I have even started using it as my deodorant. I found the home made recipe to make tend skin, but does anyone know how well it works? And has anyone used the homemade version as their deodorant? Tend skin is such a great product, which is why it costs $45 for a 16 oz bottle. As much as I need to use it I cant afford to spend that much. Anyone have any input?

i'm getting my tattoo tomorrow and im wondering what i should expect, like if i should take advil afterwards, or what level of pain i should expect

make sure you eat and have adequate fluids, so you dont pass out.
wear clothing that fits loosely, and/or comfortably around the area you are having tattooed.

after the tattoo use something like tattoo goo or another ointment... (not neosporin or anything petroleum based) for the next 3 days to a week... depending on healing rate...
then switch to a lotion...
i use lubriderm... with the pink lid..., but i have heard that the original aveeno works well also.

this past week i was out in the sun and my face got sunburnt. my nose completely peeled today and now my nose is very sensitive and hurting. the skin is a light pink. i know that it will stop hurting but how long would you think? and what would be the best thing to put on it? i have lately been putting aloe vera on my face or cetaphil. any help/advice!?

i haven't encountered this issue yet, as i am only a 6 gage. but I am very wary of going higher now.

Because they aren't cleaning their piercings. It's just from the tissues in your lobes. They can produce gunk that stays on the plugs and if you don't clean them, they can stink.

You may find that you don't need to clean daily (it is delicate skin and may not like daily soap), but at least every few days is a good idea. Keep in mind that any piercing can get a funk going, so if you notice one it is time to clean the area.

Acrylics are famous for irritating ears and generating a maximum amount of funk in the shortest given time. Materials like organics that allow a piercing some breathing room tend to keep funk down to a minimum. Hawaiian Tropics Dark Tanning Oil........have you ever used it? what did you think?
I like it VERY much.
Although if your just starting out to use it, Be VERY VERY careful on how much you apply! Because if it is the 1st time using it, you WILL burn easily.
But other than that i love the stuff!

Just bought pure witch hazel and pure aloe vera mixed them together, does this mix work on razor burn?

Find a good quality razor, preferably one with replaceable blades, and keep a good sharp blade in it at all times. The least little bit of wear on a razor (especially the disposables) will irritate sensitive skin.
I use the Mach III, but I've noticed a couple of new ones being advertised on TV that might be better. Ask around and get some ideas about good razors.

Vitamin supplements hair skin nails!!!!?
i am going to take some hair skin and nails supplements, but i also want to take some biotin tablets aswell for my hair to be stronger.
the hair,skin n nail tablets have some biotin in, but not a strong enough dosage, so im thinking of buying seperate biotin tablets to take in addition.
will that be ok?

Okay, so I'm about to do the home remedy thing for acne where you put a towel over your head and you have the bowl of hot water under it so it opens up your pores and stuff... and then after that I'm going to clean my face with soap and water and i also want to put a face mask on. do i put the face mask on before or after i do the steam remedy thing?

Getting a tattoo, but what if i lose weight?
I'm getting a tattoo on this part of my leg (thats not my leg by the way-- just a pic that i found on the internet...lol)

However i'm overweight and i have some fat in that area. If i lose weight or i strengthen up my leg muscles, what will happen to the tattoo? Will it become deformed? Or will it be fine?
Its a hibiscus flower with vines coming out of it by the way...

I'm sure it will be ok because that is an area that bounces back easily. I could see if it was on your stomach/hips which tend to get the worst of it when we gain/lose weight. You should be fine.
Reply:I've never known people lose significant amounts of weight in that area unless it's from water retention. Unless your lower leg is like a tree trunk now you should be fine, imo.
Reply:For the most part- this part of your body stays the same... if you do have excess weight that you think will be shedding off in your weight loss process- I'd say wait until after you lose the desired amount of weight... if your legs are all ready pretty fit- and your losing weight around the rest of your body- not so much in the legs-- you'll be fine...
I'm not trying to sound mean or anything, but I myself have thick calves and thicker ankles-- I played soccer throughout my childhood and all the females in my family have HUGE calves... (I love my genes- let me tell you)
I haven't gotten any tattoos on my legs because (1) they're not my favorite part of my body- so I don't want to show them off and (2) my legs are a lot of muscle- and I was told that it will hurt like a @*!*!%*@ to get them tattooed...
Good luck, and kudos to actually having the initiative to lose weight-- I know I need to lose a bit of my "fluff" but, I lead a lazy lifestyle- and I'm afraid to change it- I'm a creature of habit... what can I say?!?!

I am overweight, however I have very muscular calves, so when I lose weight the chances are that I will not lose any in that area. Unless you are morbidly obese (not putting you down, just dont know your size and shape...everyone is different), and are storing a lot of fat in that area, you should be fine.

It would stay the same size and it would look nicer on a nice, toned leg.

Reply:If it's something that you wants then go for it, and if you've already had your tongue pierced then the aftercare for the lip piercing is similiar, except you should use a mouth wash that is alcohol free, and you have to clean the skin around it outside, so its no big deal. but its your decision if you wants it or not. Also it doesn't hurt, and to respond to a pervious comment food wouldn't get stuck one it nor would the piercing and it doesn't feel weird, once the swelling goes down and you switch to a shorter stud (if you do use a stud) then you'll forget it's there within a few weeks at the most.

I just bought the Acne Stress Control Power-clear scrub, and Rapid clear acne eliminating spot gel. I have tried the power-Clear scrub, but not the spot eliminating gel because i'm afraid that it would dry my skin if i use both of them. Is it okay to use both of them at a time?

I used to have an acne problem too and it was freaking me out i went out and bought all the acne products at once and used them on my face sadly thinking it would all go away, but like you said it dries out your face.
What you should do is, in the morning apply a really light and simple face cleanser NOT a scrub, in the morning its better to go light try something from Olay or Aveeno
After washing your face wear a GOOD sunscreen again i recommend Aveeno but Neutrogena is good to and make sure its oil-free
At night you can use your Acne stress control power scrub thing or you can use the spot gel it doesnt matter but you should use acne products at night because with exposure to the sun they can leave dark spots. So use it at night

Reply:Hello Jello! I tried combining two neutrogena products and my skin got very dry and irritated.. making the acne take that much longer before it cleared up.
You can get away with using the scrub wash and spot treatment together, but I must warn you.. you have to be sparing on the scrub wash. Be very gentle, light, patting it.. a small amount, and use no more than 2 times a day.
If you are looking for a treatment that fights acne from every different way, then I only recommend Clear Pores.

What you should do is, in the morning apply a really light and simple face cleanser NOT a scrub, in the morning its better to go light try something from Olay or Aveeno
After washing your face wear a GOOD sunscreen again i recommend Aveeno but Neutrogena is good to and make sure its oil-free
At night you can use your Acne stress control power scrub thing or you can use the spot gel it doesnt matter but you should use acne products at night because with exposure to the sun they can leave dark spots. So use it at night

Reply:Hello Jello! I tried combining two neutrogena products and my skin got very dry and irritated.. making the acne take that much longer before it cleared up.
You can get away with using the scrub wash and spot treatment together, but I must warn you.. you have to be sparing on the scrub wash. Be very gentle, light, patting it.. a small amount, and use no more than 2 times a day.
If you are looking for a treatment that fights acne from every different way, then I only recommend Clear Pores.

Last week at the pool I got a really bad sunburn. It started itching and peeling recently, and I scratched it unconciously and this blister-y liquid came out of it (gross, I know). I think it is a second degree burn, because my shoulders and chest are developing blisters. It really burns, as well. It is still VERY sensitive to the touch and hurts even to have a tshirt against it Also, I think I was supposed to go to the pool again tomorrow... would that not be a smart idea? I don't want it to get worse, but it is taking such a long time to heal. I have tried putting witch hazel, natural oatmeal lotion, and aloe gel on it, and it made it burn even more. What can I put on it to take the sting out and make it heal as quick as possible?

You may want to see a doctor...they can give you some cream for this. If not, then you should take some Tylenol for the pain, and get some cool compresses on it. Gel will sting if the skin is broken and raw, so leave that off until it starts to scab. THe best way to do it is to wet a towel and toss it in the freezer for a few minutes, and then put it on the burn. Don't do it for too long, you are susceptible to chills while you're like this. Stay out of the sun for awhile...the pool itself is not bad, but the sun exposure is. Swim in the evening or an indoor pool if you really feel you must.

My skin is insanely pale. Last summer i wore a wristband everyday to test if i really do tan.......and i seriously coulde see a difference. My mom or dad and both my brothers couldnt see a difference.

My dad is Mainly French and some other things....but he doesnt know them all off hand. My mom is French and Italion. (i dont think i spelled it right.....)
My eyes are green and orund the black part is brown. ( Neither my mom or dad has brown eyes......and neither of my grandparents have brown eyes so i dont know where the brown came from.....My hair is dark brown.

As you've mentioned that you happen to be rather fair I would presume that the majority of your ancestry happens to be Northern and Northwestern European, possible Central European as well. The Italian within you could possibly be Tyrolean which tends to be rather fair.
Should you be interested in darkening your skin colour somewhat I would suggest going over to the hsn.com website and chequeing out their sunless tanning lotions which actually do work and provide one with an even, streak free tan. Of course it isn't real, but better a fake tan than one that will prematurely age one and cause an increased chance of skin cancer later on in life. Moisturise daily, especially around the eyes, and use a sunblock with an SPF of at least 35. Sounds crazy I realise, but better to look good than to look like an old crocodile bag by the time one reaches ones' thirties or forties. If you've ever been back to Europe you'd understand what I mean by that. It can be rather horrid for the very fair who haven't used sun block or moisturised daily.

I REALLY want a lip piercing.
I know what you are thinking "NO! you will never get a job looking like that" or "no, never, uh-uh never gonna happen"
But I have been researching this for about 2 months now and I have concluded that I really want it still.
I wouldn't go and get a huge hoop or anything but a small diamond stud or a little tiny barely noticeable silver hoop.
I know the conditions
~straight A's
But for this I'll make it more
~Straight A's or it's took out
~no back talking to anyone including John or it's took out
~Do all of my chores without being asked twice or it's took out
~keep room and bathroom clean or it's took out
And with the lip piercing conditions it'll change my attitude in a positive way and I'll keep true to all of the rules!
Just think When I get it, no more fights between john and I, no more disgusting room or bathroom and a straight A kid

It may fade, but it will always be there. And, as you age, your skin will sag a bit and your indentation will be come more noticeable. Just a fact of life. So, your hole in the lip may start out small and barely noticeable, but as you get into your 20-30s, it will stick out like sore thumb. Think about it, you are scarring your body to look cool. %26lt;shrug%26gt;
