Is it possible to have absolutely no pigment in you skin???

My skin is insanely pale. Last summer i wore a wristband everyday to test if i really do tan.......and i seriously coulde see a difference. My mom or dad and both my brothers couldnt see a difference.

I want to know if its possible to have absolutely no melanin in your skin.

My dad is Mainly French and some other things....but he doesnt know them all off hand. My mom is French and Italion. (i dont think i spelled it right.....)

My eyes are green and orund the black part is brown. ( Neither my mom or dad has brown eyes......and neither of my grandparents have brown eyes so i dont know where the brown came from.....My hair is dark brown.

So is it possible for my skin to have no pigment???? I thought it was i was just pale because I inherited my polish side....but i dont tan after an entire summer

you have a little, just not enough to have a noticeable tan. if you didnt have any melanin you'd be albino.

You do have pigment in your skin, if you didnt you'd be albino and REALLY sensative to the sun, you just have a hard time tanning is all, and anyways tanning is bad for you! it causes a bunch of problems lol

And from what you described of yourself you sound beautiful:]

So dont worry about not being all bronzed; just be a good person and people will see your outer beauty
Reply:Try asking a doctor
Reply:Albino that is all i got to say
Reply:Practically yes, though to have absolutely no pigment would make you out to be an albino rather than simply very fair. As you've mentioned that you happen to be rather fair I would presume that the majority of your ancestry happens to be Northern and Northwestern European, possible Central European as well. The Italian within you could possibly be Tyrolean which tends to be rather fair.

Should you be interested in darkening your skin colour somewhat I would suggest going over to the hsn.com website and chequeing out their sunless tanning lotions which actually do work and provide one with an even, streak free tan. Of course it isn't real, but better a fake tan than one that will prematurely age one and cause an increased chance of skin cancer later on in life. Moisturise daily, especially around the eyes, and use a sunblock with an SPF of at least 35. Sounds crazy I realise, but better to look good than to look like an old crocodile bag by the time one reaches ones' thirties or forties. If you've ever been back to Europe you'd understand what I mean by that. It can be rather horrid for the very fair who haven't used sun block or moisturised daily.

Cheers
Reply:It is possible but only by genetic alterations occurring naturally (Albinism) but that would put u at very high risc of getting melanoma (life threatening condition of the skin).
Reply:yes in albinism
