Try using some neosporin, it heals a wound quickly

don't touch it all. those infections are sensitive to touch etc. Just keep cleaning it with a q-tip and with alcohol. Alternate with salt and water as well. Keep it clean at all times... but don't touch it... I would take the earring out as well. It's not worth making it worse and leading to something worse
Reply:i have 4 earrings in my cartledge, basically my whole right ear is peirced, and i deff. have had that problem quiet a few times. what i did was i cleaning it every day with peroxide, and let the earrings sit in it, and took a Qtip with the peroxide on it, put it over the hole and cleaned it out, cause it would bleed, just keep doing that everyday and it should get better, mine did. and makke sure you have a real earring in there, not just one from claires or walmart, thats usually how mine got infected.
Reply:Are you sure it's infected? I have several cartilage piercings, and all of them took what seemed like forever to heal. My industrial had red bumps by the piercing holes and felt lumpy for literally MONTHS after I had it done profesionally, and it eventually healed just fine.
Reply:remove the piercing, clean the wound well with soap %26amp; water, and see a doctor for infection.

Reply:Hi, I got my industrial piercing a year ago. Its a double piercing in the cartilage thats connected with a long barbell. It hurt with a passion, but my piericer told me to clean it 2-3 times a day with saline solution, or also known as contatct solution! Go to your local drug/walmart store and pick up some off brand solution and squirt it on there, and wipe off with a paper towel, not a regular towel nor toliet paper because they give off too much lint! Also, it sound like the red bump is either pus filled, or it is a Keliod. A keliod is an overgrowth from scar tissue. I also have this on one of my holes, its very common with cartilage piercings!

One last thing, if your piercing is gauged, try to take the piercing out and put a smaller gauge in. The ring you have in it may be too small which may cause it to pinch and swell!

Hope this helped.
