Does the Industrial bar piercing hurt to get done? And how long does it take to heal?

It doesn't feel really good...lol but its not the worst thing you could have done. It depends on you body for healing time, lots of people I have talked to say it takes a really long time to fully heal. However, I have had mine for close to 6 months and it has not hurt in prolly 4 months. So it didn't take that long to heal. It hurt less and took less time to heal than my conch did.

It's just a cartilage piercing x2 .....it's not the worst pain I've ever felt getting a piercing by far. As far as healing, I guess the normal 6+weeks, but mine wasnt sore for very long and I was able to sleep on it after a few days.

No piercing feels good, but this is not the most painful. It's more painful than the belly botton and less painful than the nipples.





I have an industrial in both ears. Cartlige piercings usually heal within 3-6 month, but can take up to one year. Both of mine healed pretty fast, though it took about a year before they quit getting sore when I slept on them wrong.





With proper care and an expierenced piercer, this piercing shouldn't be a problem and should heal in no time with little to no problems. Just take care of yourself :)

It's about five seconds of pain altogether as the needle goes through both holes.


It's a small pinch/sting, nothing too bad at all.


It's survivable.





Industrial piercings take anywhere from 6-12 months to heal.


The whole time you need to be cleaning the piercing as you're supposed to.
Reply:I got mine pierced august 2007 and it just now fully healed. It hurt quite alot but the pain subsides within a week. Make sure you get it on the side that you dont sleep on as much. Also be prepared to bleed. I bled alot the first day I got it done. Also, remember to keep it cleaned! My piercier told me to only use saline solution/contact soultion. It worked great! Make sure that the bar isnt too tight either, thats what happened to mine and i had to downsize from a 14g to a 16g because the bar was pinching my ear. Happy piercing!
