Reply:Yes. Most states have some law about parental consent regarding tattoos and piercings. You might need to look up what the exact age you need to be to get the tattoo with parental consent for your state. I myself live in NY. I know that the age for getting pierced(anywhere other than ears)with parental consent is 16 yrs. of age.(I had my eyebrow pierced when I was 16 yrs. old.)
Reply:Why would you want to get one, just to be like your friends. Don't be a follower, it will get you nowhere. Also they look bad as you age. If they are large on places on your body that shows, you may have a problem getting a job.





Remember they stay with you your entire life. Laser tattoo removal is not only painful but very expensive as well.
Reply:Check your local laws. The very small town I grew up in, in N IL, you have to be 21 to have piercing or tats done, however, 8 miles down the road, it's 18. The best place to ask would be a reputable tattoo shop because of all people, they will know the laws that govern their business. Call a couple in your city and see if their answers are the same. Hopefully you wouldn't be doing business with anything except a reputable shop. : )
