Help me!!!!!?

Summer just began and I wanted to go outside. Well, I can't go outside for longer than ten minutes without sunblock because I burn super easily. So I asked my papaw (who has nothing to do but sit outside) to take me to the dollar store (two minutes down the road, and I wouldv'e paid for it) and he told me no. I asked him why and he said theres no point in buying sunblock because I won't burn. I thought this was really stupid because he's saw on multiple occassions how bad I burn.





P.S. Any ideas on how to get him to take me? I really want to swim. I told him I was having a girl emergency and needed some feminine products but he didn't believe me?

tell him 2 get a frigging life and take you 2 the frigging drug store 2 get sun block or you will run away and never come back

Have you told him that if you don't get sunblock, you're prone to cancer? Did you ask using manners? 'cause elderly guys are used to a world where people use manners; you could be offending him w/out realizing it.





Are your parents a phone call away? If they are, can you ask them to make your papaw get you some sunblock. Can you call someone else to ask if they could possibly pick you up and drive you to the dollar store?


Do you have a bike? If its two minutes down the road why not walk or ride your bike. Or wait until he has to go to the store, and go with him.

Cover yourself with clothing or an umbrella. Walk or bike to the store and get what you need. Sounds like you can't depend on Papaw for anything. You're gonna have to start taking care of yourself. One thing I learned as youngster, If you ask Someone (elders) for permission to do something, you're just giving them the opportunity to say no and they will say no more than yes because of many selfish reasons.


Be your own person. Do what you gotta do. Do right. Do good. Then Papaw may begin to respect you.
