Belly button peircing.?

how bad does getting your belly button peirced hurt compared to like, a tetnaus shot,

or some kindaa shot like tht.?
Belly button peircing.?
if the place doing the piercing uses a good anasthetic on your skin. it does not hurt at all. but belly piercings usually get infected really easily. be careful of that
Belly button peircing.?
Most piercing places do NOT use an anesthetic.... Even so, it is not really painful. It just depends on how high your pain tolerance is....I would say it is less painful than a tetanus shot.
Reply:Parlors don't typically use anesthetics... because the pain is over with so quickly.

It's like a hard pinch that continues for a few seconds. It's really nothing to worry about - my mom and I had ours done together yesterday. She also said it was painless.
Reply:1 thing to mention don't shave around that area before u have it done because i did n it hurt more than it should of bt wernt that bad compared to a shot
Reply:It hurts a bit but its tolerable and like getting your ears pierced its really quick so just have someone come along as moral support and hold your hand or something if your afraid of needles. Also make sure you clean it A LOT infections are common with belly button piercings so just keep a close eye on it and keep it clean. Good Luck :) It will look great when your done!
Reply:It doesn't hurt that bad, but it hurts for about a week while it's healing. Especially in the shower when you have to clean it!!! It's worth it though...

Make sure you don't get it pierced with a barbell, get a hoop ring because it makes it way easier to clean.

Make sure you follow all the instructions so it doesn't get infected, and don't take it out b/c it closes up really fast. I had mine for like 8 years. I had to take it out when I got pregnant, and it closed up in like 3 days!!
Reply:I went to get my belly button pierced with no hesitation. I felt her put the clamp on it and then suddenly she said "you're done" I was like "What?! I didn't even feel it!".

However, I am incredibly afraid of needles. I went to get the HPV shot and I was crying bc I was so scared, and it hurt and it bruised and my arm was sore.

Tattoo me, pierce me, whatever, just don't draw my blood or give me a shot!

I'd rather get a piercing ANY day over a shot. I mean, a piercing goes through you, a shot goes into you.

The belly button is more painful after the piercing because it bruises and heals. No matter what a tattoo artist tells you, pay attention to this information: I got my belly button pierced by a nurse who owned a tattoo parlor. She said wash it with anti bacterial hand soap 2 times a day, twist it so it doesn't stick and grow over, do not use alcohol or anything. You can change the piercing after ten days, but then you can't change it from that ring for three weeks.

I heard HORROR stories of girls who got infected and used alcohol and took months and even up to a year to heal, but when I listened to this nurse, mine was 100% healed in three weeks.

I say go for it, if you can handle a shot, you can definitely get your belly pierced. Hell, I can't even handle a shot and I got mine done.
