How to lose color on a tattoo?

I have a tattoo that is about 7 months old. It wasn't done well, the coloring is not how I wanted it done, and some lines are off. I need to find a way to make the colors fade. I dont want get it removed because me and my sister got matching tattoos. I just want to get mine redone. the weird thing is the same guy did both of ours, but mine is messed up and hers was perfect, and it was her first tattoo and my third.

You may have had a reaction to the ink,,you can still have it touched up with out waiting for it to fade,,(depending on the colour) but only sunlight and time will fade your tatts.

Speak to another tattoo artist . They may have ways of fine-tuning the tat. Otherwise, it's laser removal.


Fading a tattoo can take YEARS of sun exposure.

Reply:the only way to get one to fade is a lot of sun exposure over time, especially if it's red. red fades faster than the other colors. the artist i go to has a one year touch up agreement. if it needs retouched within the first year, she'll do it for free. see if this guy has anything like that.
Reply:Once I was in a tattoo shop getting work done when a woman came in asking about a tattoo she had received a month prior at another shop. She couldn't figure out why it itched so bad. All the red ink areas of her tattoo were rashy- looking. They told her she was allergic to the ink and the owner told her they could tattoo her with no ink to open the skin up and allow the ink to come to the surface and heal. Ask the artist who did your work if that is an option.
Reply:Well maybe he did it right, but the tattoo got messed up and didn't heal right.


The only thing to do is get it removed and then get it re-done with a different piercer to make sure it's done right.


There's no way to fix the crooked or messed up lines.
